Natural Migraine Prevention

Natural Preventative Approach to Migraines

The FDA currently recognizes only four preventative treatments for migraine.  They are as follows:  Topiramate, Depakote, Propanolol, and Nadolol.

However, there are natural key ingredients that are clinically shown to reduce your migraines.  Those are riboflavin, also know as Vitamin B2, Magnesium, Feverfew, and Conezyme q10.  However, most of these alternative are found at the health food stores but the dosages are usually to small for you to have an effect.  Clinical studies demonstrate higher dosages to become effective.  Also, purchasing all these ingredients can be cost prohibitive and cumbersome to take all at once.  Trigemin is a multivitamin that contains all these ingredients at the appropriate clinical dosages and it is the one that I use in my clinic.  Learn more through the website, www.trigemin.com

TRIGEMIN contains a comprehensive multivitamin that is the first to include combined key ingredients riboflavin, magnesium, feverfew, coezyme q10 in that each of these ingredients were used in clinical studies that were shown to reduce the frequency, intensity and symptoms of migraine headaches.  In addition the amino acid taurine was added for additional support.  Headache sufferers may benefit from these specific ingredients and that they may find that it is easier to take one dietary supplement rather than each individual ingredient seperately, savings in costs and quantity of pills.

Butterbur is another ingredient that has been shown to reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine headaches.  The pure form was shown to cause liver damage, and therefore they took out the bad metabolites and use a pure form called Petadolex

The key is to incorporate a natural preventative treatment program in addition to or used alone in migraine prevention.   This coupled with headache hygiene, avoiding triggers, and understanding migraine provoking foods, you may gain control over your headache and win the migraine pain game.
